Sándor (Alexander) Weiss in uniform and his wife, Melanie, in 1914. Pharmacist Sándor Weiss was the owner of the Pharmacy Az Arany Kereszt, in Union Square, later known as Pharmacy Weiss. During the war, it was administered by a person exempt from military service, while Sándor Weiss served in the army. He died in 1946 and was buried in the Jewish cemetery in Timișoara.
